Blown of the Course ..

Again .. yesterday evening was the 2nd time this year we were blown of the course by some really heavy storm passing over the golfcourse.

So what do you do when you are on the Tee of the 5th hole and you see bad weather. You see lighting, hear thunder It might pass by at 5Km , it might fly over or it might even head the other direction.

We both hit our T-shots and when we realised that our balls were just reaching about 70% of our regular distance because of the heavy winds we realised we should run for the clubhouse.

So we left our bags behind and picked up our balls. By the time we got back to our bags the wind really started to become stronger and by the time we were halfway the 7th we were soaked. From dry to soaked in approx 170 meters.

Off course by the time we reached the clubhouse the worst part was over and play could be resumed .. which we decided against , we preferred a hot shower :)

The joy of living in Belgium .. :)

Same here

I got a kick out of your posting since I had just written about the weather we've been getting here in northeaster USA! Seems like this has been the rainiest summer I can remember! Sure doesn't help our scores. Have faith! The sun will shine eventually, but by then the ground may be covered with snow! M. Hannah http://seniorgolfmoment.blogspot.com/
