Goofy Golfer

Last weekend the first edition of Golf On the Beach took place in Knokke (pics in the sidebar)

It was a really rainy weekend, rather than golf on the beach it was Golf in the mud but some people.

The expo was small, but it had some interesting news.

First of all I chatted a bit with someone from @golf

AtGolf is a new concept in Belgium where you don't have to be member of a club anymore in order to be able to get a Federation card and a Handicap,

You just become a member of @golf which is a lot cheaper than most of the other clubs (149 Euro / year includeing Federation card) with that License you can then go play at any club if your handicap allows it.

Good Concept, specially for people that don't play a lot.
I`m pretty sure there is a market however I still think more Open Golfs that don't require a Federation card are a better approach. There's lots of people out there that don't care about getting a handicap, they just want to hit some balls now and then.

The second interesting thing I ran into was the GobiGolf stand. A Belgian Golf Brand .. I didn't know that existed. I`ll check them out in more detail and let you folks know.
