Joburg Open , day 2

Warren Abery and Mark Murless are both leading at -7 with Mark Murrless still 9 holes to go.

Nicolas VanHootegem sadly enough won't be making the cut which is now at PAR
He played a good 2nd par round but that wasn't enough :(

Ferreira and Murless lead Joburg Open

The Joburg open started earlier this morning and the leaderboard currently shows
2 leader at 6 under PAR, Tyrone FERREIRA and Mark MURLESS both from South Africa closely followed by a 3some at 5 under PAR

Nicolas VANHOOTEGEM finished his round today at 3 over.
The first 2 rounds of the Joburg open is played at both the Eaast and the West Course of the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club. With the cut at 65 (currently PAR) Nicolas will have to make up for it tomorrow if he wants to stay for the weekend.

The East Course on which the final two rounds will be played created a
record in 2007 by becoming the longest course used for a European Tour
event. The layout measured 7,590 yards (6,940 metres)

Telenet Trophy: The Winning Put


Nicolas Vanhootegem (B) just won the Telenet Trophy in Waterloo !
This was his winning put at the 18th par 5

Telenet Trophy

This weekend the Royal Waterloo Golf Club is hosting the 2nd
Telenet Trophy looking at the current scoreboard the Belgian top is showing the rest of the world they do know this course as their back yard.

After 2 days Didier De Vooght , Nicolas Vanhootegem and Nicolas Colsaerts are leading the pack with De Vooght at 13 under par.

Who knows this achievement finally gets some real press attention in Belgium !
